Sandhills Community College is Hiring for the Following Position: Full Time HVAC Technician Based on the Pinehurst Campus. Technician will trouble shoot and make repairs to correct problems related to HVAC, HVAC Controls, Refrigeration, Kitchen Equipment, & Fire Alarm Panels. Assume other duties assigned by Supervisor and Facilities Director. Primary Duties And
Responsibilities: 1. Prioritize & complete work order forms that are assigned & return them for data entry. 2. Conduct routine preventive maintenance duties on all HVAC, electrical, fire alarm panels, & kitchen equipment as assigned through the computerized maintenance management system. 3. Conduct maintenance/repairs of HVAC, electrical, fire alarm panels, kitchen equipment as required, while reporting other observed required maintenance needs to the Facilities Director. 4. Provide after hour on call duties for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Alarms etc. 6. Perform all duties and assist all persons on our campus in a professional manner the honors and promotes the five core values of Sandhills Community College: respect, integrity, opportunity, excellence and persistent helpfulness.
Qualifications: 1. Must have a current universal refrigeration license as required by 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F. 2. Six years commercial/industrial HVAC experience, or two years experience with an Associate Degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Valid NC Drivers License. 4. Ability to work with hand tools, meters, monitoring equipment, shop equipment or portable powered equipment as needed. 5. Ability to interact, communicate, & maintain effective relations with students, faculty & staff. Working Conditions: Must be able to perform heavy duty maintenance task which require standing, walking, lifting, carrying, stooping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, etc. Online applications will be accepted until October 20, 2014.
